- a special fundraising CD release show for Pete Dubuc's new album The Ship. Dedicated to Pete's mother, who passed away in January, The Ship - and this CD release event - raise money for the American Cancer Society. Your ticket price goes entirely to the ACS and the non profit St. Lawrence Arts.
With his band, Gunther Brown, Pete's music was described by the Portland Press Herald as "earthy, eloquent and entirely honest. It’s Americana music, with roots that spread to folk, rock and old-time country.”
Sharing the stage on this evening is Dark Hollow Bottling Company. Dark Hollow Bottling Company is a string band based in Portland Maine where they have been concocting tunes since 2002. The Music of DHBC can loosely be classified as Americana; fusing bluegrass, folk, punk, rock and pop music. They are a living example of the American melting pot.
Their debut album, Gone Gone Gone, came out in February 2010 to good reviews and their sophomore album American Ghosts is scheduled for release in May 2012."
Advance tickets are available at Brown Paper Tickets and at Bull Moose stores. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door.
