This event is part of a major fundraising drive launched by "The Red and White Appeal" to raise £2.2 million to create a transplant treatment centre for teenage and adult patients with leukaemia and other blood disorders from Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Wiltshire, Dorset, West Sussex and the Channel Islands.
The Appeal is named 'Red and White' in recognition of the particular importance of red and white blood cells for haematology patients.
