Event Details
It's with mixed feelings that I present the final Soul Sundays.
Join us at Belle Havana for the Holiday Edition of Soul Sundays and enjoy a delicious French-Cuban fusion brunch and a few mojitos while being enchanted by rising star, Jeremiah (http://www.jeremiahonline.com)
“…a singer with an innate ability for passionate songwriting that one cannot learn.” —Billboard Magazine
"Dreams are not coincidence but delayed reality," says Jeremiah. It is this very mantra that has been the fuel behind Jeremiah's constant rise to the top.
With the support of VH1 Soul, BET J and MTV, Jeremiah landed on the airwaves and made his presence known with videos Love For A While as well as Get Away. His buzz is growing quickly as one to watch.
A brilliant live performer, Jeremiah performs in renown venues such as the Blue Note, Joe's Pub, the Apollo, the Regatta Bar and numerous festivals including Son d'Hiver, Banlieus Bleus, San Sebastien Jazz Fest, St. Anna Arezza Jazz Festival, Rochester International Jazz Festival and Tampere Jazz Happening.
Jeremiah has worked with gifted artists such as Rachelle Ferrell, Oleta Adams, George Michael, Michael Bolton, Chuck Mangione, Yolanda Adams and Frank McCombs amongst many others.
Jeremiah's voice is uniquely beautiful, raw yet a refined plaint that recalls both Nick Drake in his Way to Blue and Nina Simone in the aptly titled "Get Away", the romantic Anita Baker in "Addicted to You" the cinematic "Show Me the Way", and the worldly rhythmic "Love For a While" featuring Shanice Wilson. Throw in his hue of African soil, classic sex appeal and he's the complete package.
Be a part of the masses as we celebrate the long-awaited arrival of one of the most authentic and relevant voices of today.
Joining the bill is KAyan "Bijou" James, member of Urban Word NYC Slam Team (www.facebook.comphoto_search.php?oid=220109724950&view=user#/profile.php?id=558351673&ref=ts), a young, creative and dynamic poet. KAyan is also the first female poet to perform at Soul Sundays. Soul Sundays is thrilled to have her.
The cost is $22 and includes Brunch and a complimentary glass of champagne or bloody mary (tax and gratuity not included).
Conveniently located 2 blocks from the Metro North Yonkers Station and all buses servicing the Yonkers downtown area and there is plenty of street parking. Belle Havana is located at the corner of Main Street and Warburton Avenue in beautiful, downtown Yonkers.
