Ableton Push is a purpose-build pad controller and control surface for Ableton Live. It features 64 x multicolor backlit velocity/pressure-sensitive pads, LCD display, modulation touch strip, and other dedicated controls for controlling Ableton Live. I used Push heavily in the studio context to create my most recent album and I also am using it as my primary controller for my 2014 live shows. In this intro talk, I'll be giving an overview of Ableton Push including covering overall function, drum mode, notes mode, sequencing, recording, controlling session view, user mode, controlling devices parameters, using third party plugins and more. I'll do a brief performance with the Push as well so you can wrap your head around how you might use this in the live context.
