Band Antenna and EmpirE3 playing at the Warsaw!
Date: Friday, March 7th
Time: 9:00pm sharp (1st band starts)
261 Driggs Ave., Brooklyn, NY 11222
(at Eckford St.)
10:00pm: Band Antenna
11:00pm: The Archive
About the venue:
The Warsaw is an integral part of the city's music scene, Warsaw (located inside the Polish National Home, in Greenpoint) has played host to outré newcomers (Le Tigre, the New Pornographers), as well as still-relevant favorites (Patti Smith). It's a discerning balance that most clubs—with their unsubstantial underground acts or museum-worthy oldies bands—fail to achieve. Warsaw's high ceilings, good sight lines, and clear sound make the venue one of the city's premier nightlife destinations—in any borough.
About the bands:
Band Antenna (www.bandantenna.com)
Psychedelic pop like you've never heard before.
Electric mandolin and keyboards drone over Moe Tucker beats with soaring melodies and irresistible hooks, creating a compelling new psychedelic pop sound.
This electro-pop trio is on a "rescue" mission, saving the world with one 80's synth song at a time. EmpirE3 is a collaboration of songwriters seeking to attract others who enjoy 80's influenced dance music (DJ's welcome to collaborate). We welcome all unique and brilliant individuals to join us.
EmpirE3 donates 10% of it's earning to the following charities:
- Children's International
- Father's Heart Homeless Shelter
