Soleil Bantu reflects Bibouls musical multicultural history, with his childhood in Cameroon until the break through now as an international composer, producer and bandleader. The members of Soleil Bantu are highly renowned musicians of the European Jazz Scene. They create an electrifying atmosphere on stage with the mixture of Afrobeat, Jazz and Pop. The polyrhythmic interaction and the colourful improvisations generate a driving beat that takes the audience on an unforgettable journey to the African and Western worlds. Biboul sings in his native language Ewondo as well as in English and French. Biboul Darouiche: vocals, calimbas, percussion MC Olangué: vocals, Percussion Michael Hornek: vocals, keyboards, percussion Christian Lettner: drums Igor Kljujic: Bass Biboul Darouiche, Christian Lettner and Michael Hornek are members of the legendary German Jazz-Rock band “Klaus Doldinger’s Passport”. The percussionist and composer Biboul Darouiche is originally from Cameroon. In the early 90ties Biboul moved to Paris, where he played and worked on various CD productions, with some of Afrika's Music and Jazz giants. Tshala Muana, Roy Ayers, Klaus Doldingers Passport, Camerlocks, Charlotte Mbango, Al di Meola, Paquito de Riviera, Graham Haynes, Kurtis Blow, Jazz Baltica Essemble, Barry Wedgle, Pee Wee Ellis, Scales Brothers, Harald Haerter and the Intergalactic Maiden Ballet just to mention a few. He also perfomed with the following Big Bands WDR, SWR and HR in Germany.
