1-3pm. Eamonn Barry
In 2008, after being inspired by the movie "Walk The Line", Eamonn Barry started writing a series of folk songs that would become his first demonstration recordings. He recorded two eight song demos in a professional studio with Padraic Eldridge and one four song demo on a tascam cassette tape recorder at his house. None of these are available for purchase and Eamonn hasn't finished a demo since 2010. However, he recorded a new series of songs in January of 2012 and is trying to complete the bits and pieces of those recordings in an effort to get a record company to release them.
Eamonn has played the "Word X Word" festival twice--once at Mission Bar and Tapas and once at The Emporium. Both shows were shared bill events. These shows included the bands Roz Raskin & the Rice Cakes and Over the Mountain. Eamonn has also played at The Dream Away Lodge as a featured musician. He resides in Pittsfield.
