THE BOBBY VOLKMAN TRIO
ROY WILSON & THE BUZZARDS
THE NYRMA ALL STARS
For the 2014 Elvis Show, NYRMA will work off of the “Elvis -2nd To None” collection - an attempt to gather these great songs together. From rockabilly classics to movie hits and everything in-between, NYRMA will play ‘em all!
The first set is a full-scale rockabilly riot featuring some of the hottest local rockabilly bands - The Hornets, The Bloodshots, The Bobby Volkman Trio and Roy Wilson & The Buzzards! They will be ripping up some classic Sun session and early RCA tracks, with some very special guests.
The second set will feature the NYRMA All-Stars in a tribute to the King’s legendary Vegas era including some of his greatest hits and fan favorite cover songs.
Scheduled performers include The Hornets, The Bloodshots, Roy Wilson & The Buzzards, The Bobby Volkman Trio, Annie Mark, Mary Lamont, Allen Santoriello (The Little Wilson Band), Tom Gould (Bossa Nova Beatniks), Micheal Rice, Michele Sivori (Guilty Pleasures), Pete Ludivico (The Spinouts) Paul Schmitz (The Last Hombres), Jessica Upham, Jenna Silverman, Tom Ciorciari (Deerheart), Tom Pfeifer, Jon Geffner, Andrew Fortier, and the NYRMA All-Stars featuring Tom Ryan, Howard Silverman, Tom Santoriello, Steve Prisco, Dave Wise, Rich Hall, Stephen Diraffele and more TBA!
0ver the past 23 years the Elvis Show has raised over $60,000 to help aid local food banks, soup kitchens, safe homes and shelters. Once again, all proceeds go to benefit those in need through the good people at rockCANroll – a non-profit organization dedicating to eliminating hunger on Long Island. Volunteers from rockCANroll will be on hand to also collect donations of healthy, non-perishable food items.
The New York Roots Music Association & Saturday Night Social Club was created by a group of like-minded Long Island, NY musicians who longed for a different way to collaborate and present their music. Our goal is to offer our friends and fans an alternative to the late night bar scene and a chance to reconnect to live music. Each show will feature something special - reworking a classic LP or special theme nights - that will feature some of the most talented musicians in our area. We’ll be paying tribute to the artists that have been major influences in our lives - from all genres. It is from these roots that we have grown - and are still growing. Our previous shows at the Boulton have included “The Elvis Show,” “Mad Dogs & Englishmen” and “1965-The Ultimate Battle Of The Bands.”
