Crooked River is a quartet of musicians that share a love of traditional country. Teri Jacobs, Lana Dishner and Rob Jacobs got together a couple of years ago to play Johnny Cash and Hank Williams after family dinners. They realized shortly that their unique sound of vocals and swinging guitars brought a new dimension to these old country tunes. With the addition of Rob’s mandolin, Teri’s harmonica and a score of original songs they began the quest to put together a record. Recently, Lane Fricke joined the band adding a washtub bass to the mix. Rob and Teri have both played in bands such as The Crop Circles, Dicky Mo and Jentzu and the Alter Egos while Rob has also played and recorded numerous albums with The Perverts and Long, Tall and Ugly. Lane previously played his washtub with Mr. Random. He also plays bass with Mr. Random in FRANTIC. Crooked River plays classic country with a modern lyrical twist.
