Come out to Osgood January 17th to listen to the awesome sounds of Nidal! You're going to have a great time! The show starts at 8PM ... NEVER a cover charge. 18 and up.
Fascinated with music at an early age, Nidal started studying the violin with Tomio Anderson of the Kalamazoo Symphony at age 8. Two years later he began teaching himself the guitar by ear. Early influences included Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Roots, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Nidal moved to Grand Rapids, MI in 2002 and started his solo career shortly after. He has played at numerous pubs in downtown Grand Rapids and cities along Lake Michigan. His debut EP, What I See was released in 2011. Nidal is currently working with producer Matt Gruppen and local talent on his debut LP, Sitting In The Shade.
Nidal, a first generation Palestinian-American, has found inspiration in the olive tree, a symbol of strength, endurance, patience and beauty. Much of his music is inspired by his people living under military occupation and the hardships they experience daily.
