Apparently Mr. Kind is tired of being the nice guys, and have embraced a heavier side of their talents. Evolving from the folky rock they once were to more of a rhythm and blues feel with an electronic backbeat that likens the epic sounds of Roxette and other 80’s rock but with a slower, contemporary weight. These guys listened to their hearts and are now bringing evil genius to yours.
Indie pop with a vocal obviously influenced by the Arctic Monkeys, Eager Eyes manages to expertly blend the carriage of pop rock music with the psychedelia of the 70’s set. Their feel is mostly couched in a relaxed beach vacation, but they also manage to pick the energy up when it comes time to rock. It’s definitely gonna be a party with these guys around.
Stop Motion Poetry is all the sweetness pop has to offer. From the heartfelt care depicted in their lyrics to the softness of the singer’s demeanor, and the upbeat choral nature of the instrumentation that touches a bit of classical, it’s all the innocence of a heart that is waiting to be broken. If you have no idea what I’m talking about, get to this show to find out. It may just renew your perspective.
