Joey Huffman , a local ATL musician, was diagnosed with a brain tumor on 10/1/2013 and it must be surgically removed immediately. Joey has played keys for the likes of drivin' n' cryin', Soul Asylum, Liz Melendez and Hank Williams Jr. just to name a few. His surgery is set for 11/14/2013, which will cost $80,000 (estimate from hospital). He does not have private medical insurance. The medical bills are already starting to pile up from the tests, specialists, etc. that were needed to even get the diagnosis and then a surgery set, with an avalanche to follow. This benefit serves to relieve Joey of some financial stress and get him on the road to recovery.
There will be LIVE music, raffles, prizes and much fun to be had here at The 120 Tavern & Music Hall on Friday, November 8th! Most importantly all proceeds raised from this event will go directly to Joey to help pay his medical bills. Lineup TBA within the next few days!
