The future of the city's art endures in many passionate and driven artists who are determined to make a difference, starting in St. Louis, but eventually moving throughout the entire world.
To cap off the summer, on September 7th, 2013, a St. Louis based art-media and recording company, RecapLife Media Group, LLC is hosting their first ever fund-raising showcase titled My Love IV Music & ARTS at the prestigious performing arts center, music venue and art gallery at 2720 Cherokee.
Sponsored by many great native St. Louis companies such as actress, dancer and entrepreneur Stephanie Wiliams' PYGO ed-u-tainment program, and model, producer & event coordinator, Whitney Shucks, expectations for this event are just as grand as its supporters and sponsors.
The showcase includes a complete exposition of live, creative, musical performances. This includes 20 year old rising R&B/Pop songstress, Brittany Capri, who has been ringing in the ears of plenty major A&R's and labels. Making a debut in August 2012's Peace Fest in Forest Park, her songs have been played on various radio stations across the Mid-West region and also featured in ALIVE Magazine. Following her 2012 success, Brittany has a new, outstanding line-up of surprises for her young and vibrant fans.
Posterior of Brittany, is the extraordinary urban producer/songwriter, company owner and artist, Tommy JiZoo Rice. Tommy has an impeccable package of creative projects, including his 2012 documentary, Southside Glory, which is to be featured in this year's St. Louis Black Film Festival. With a fan base still growing from Tommy's 2011 album release, Your Favorite Bowl of Cereal, keeping up with his creative projects is just as an eclectic journey as his educational, energy filled, yet edgy music. Tommy, a 2012 Traffic Music Awards “Songwriter of the Year” nominee, always has clever show concepts and nonstop energy up his sleeve to keep the crowd engaged.
In addition to live music, My Love IV Music & ARTS will hold an open art gallery and auction, debuting the works of photographer, Darron K. Humphrey. With their absolutely stunning abstract and real-life adaptations of scenes, Darron's pieces provide art-lovers with psychological, scientific and spiritual fulfillment. His unique style of auction utilizes a silent “box-bid”, where buyers privately write their price, with the art going to the highest bidder.
With sponsorships growing fast, tickets are due to go on sale very soon. This evening will be filled with high energy and will most definitely leave a good taste of St. Louis in the eyes, ears and hearts of our city's art lovers. They all are welcomed to attend making this September 7th showcase, one to remember forever in St. Louis history, expressing our Love IV Music & ARTS.
