80/20 Records and Dangeruss Productions, in conjunction with the Monarch Theatre and the Crescent Ballroom, are proud to announce Comikaze, a two-venue event scheduled for Saturday, May 25th during the 12th annual Phoenix Comicon. PALMS, Captain Squeegee, Zero Zero, Fairy Bones, L.A.-based Statues of Cats, A Life of Science, Sara Robinson and the Midnight Special and decker. are scheduled to play the event, with the goal of exposing Phoenix Comicon attendees to the local Arizona music scene. Fans will also be able to see their favorite bands perform in a way they’re not normally used to seeing them as each band lets their inner geek out for the evening.
Comikaze will kick off with an all-ages show at Monarch Theatre, which is mere blocks from the Phoenix Convention Center, that will last from 3-7 pm. Then from 8-12 pm, the event will continue with a 21+ show at the Crescent Ballroom, one of the premier concert venues in the Phoenix metro area.
Admission will be $5 for each individual show; however those who attend the Monarch Theatre show will receive a $2 OFF flyer for the Crescent Ballroom. Also, anyone who shows their Phoenix Comicon badge at the door will get free admission into both venues.
Also, in between shows, there will also be a special event planned on the light rail that will involve getting everyone from the Monarch to Crescent in one giant group. Details for this will be announced at a later date.
