The Duo Competition Origins
The Duo competition came about because since opening its doors in 2009 Tusq Restaurant and Staqatto Piano Lounge have had non stop live entertainment promoting some of the best local talent in music. Keegan McAvoy and Terry Hoknes created the entire concept and run the entire competition. The concept was to create a different type of music competition than the typical singer/karaoke competitions that can be found everywhere including American Idol. This competition would be unique as it would promote 2 musicians working together to craft their unique sound and the competition would allow these performers to reach new audiences.
