The Homegrown Art, Music & Spoken Word Show, a pilot open-mic and arts exhibition at Cedar Grove Coffee House, seeks community members for local showcase. If you have a story to tell – whether with words, pictures, tunes, or tattoos – we want to hear from YOU.
Homegrown is the brainchild of two Bullitt County natives, college writing professor Bobbi Buchanan and musician Austin Whitely, along with Louisville musician and community activist Erin Fitzgerald (A Girl Named Earl). The trio will present their songs and stories in round-robin fashion with open-mic performers, who will sign up the evening of the event. The show will also include a micro-exhibition of art by Patricia Lyons Ansert and photography by Sheri Wright.
