In celebration of National Poetry Month, the Livingston Friends of the Library and Deadrock Writers Group will host a poetry performance and discussion by Marc Beaudin on Wednesday, April 24 at 7:00 pm in the Bev Steveson Room of the Livingston-Park County Public Library, 228 W. Callender. The event is free and open to the public.
For the first half of the event, Marc will discuss the craft and practice of writing poetry within a performance of his recent works. Following this, those interested are invited to join the Deadrock Writers for an intimate discussion of the possibilities and pitfalls of getting published.
Marc is the poetry editor of CounterPunch Magazine and the author of several collections of poetry. His poems have been published in several journals and featured in numerous radio programs and podcasts. He is also the co-owner of Elk River Books in Livingston.
