One of rock's most successful, influential and best-selling acts, Queen released a dizzying 18 number one albums, 18 number one singles, 10 number one DVDs worldwide, has the most downloaded album on iTunes, and album sales topping 300 million. This multi-talented English glam rock band is the only one to boast that every member has composed multiple chart-topping hits. The group continually wowed audiences with amazing stage shows – its 1985 Live Aid show earned the singular distinction of the best live rock performance of all time in an industry poll.
On Friday, September 13th, In The Light will perform two full sets of Queen's music, giving full tribute to Queen’s rich orchestral-rock sound with The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware featuring prominently throughout the show.
With front man Joe Trainor – well-known locally for his intense, engaging live performances – on lead vocals, and a compliment of top-shelf local musicians including Scott Lawing, Andy Faver, Christian Salcedo, Steve Kuzminski, Matt Urban, Chuck Kuzminski, and Tom Mucchetti, this is a performance not to be missed.
In The Light gained notoriety through two highly-successful 2012 performances of Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti album, a historically sold out show at The Arden Gild hall, and an encore performance downstairs at World Cafe Live at The Queen.
The Rainbow Chorale of Delaware is a high caliber community chorus, whose mission reaches beyond fine music: the non-profit exists to provide LGBT individuals and their friends a supportive, affirming environment, and to bridge differences within the community through shared musical experiences.
