As some of you know, our original bass player Jason Soudrette has been battling a bone marrow disease defined as MDS since 2010. As of recently, that the disease has progressed into Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML). For over a week now Jason has been in extensive chemotherapy treatment with a bone marrow transplant to follow. His stay may be long and the bills will mount so that's where we all come into help and show our support!
On April 13th The Tillers will be throwing a huge fund raiser benefit for our pal Jason. We will re-release our debut album, Ludlow Street Rag with previously unreleased tracks from the bands humble beginnings. The CD will be decked out with new (old) photos and other fun stuff from the era in which Jason was our bass thumper. All funds raised from CD sales and ticket sales at the show will go to Jason's cause.
We'll also have beer for donation and a slew of things to raffle off like a Cincinnati Zoo Gold Pass, Tattoo gift certificates, 2013 Whispering Beard Folk Fest Weekend Passes and lots more.
