Galvin’s public house is decorated with treasures that represent Irish culture - arts, sports, religion, family, politics and history. The County Kerry countryside was searched high and low for each item in the bar. Look closely around the pub to find famous writers, hurling sticks, the traditional kitchen dresser and the tools of an Irish coffin maker. Irish coins have been placed in the dyed green concrete apron that surrounds the bar. Children are encouraged to find the Irish and American pennies circa 2000. Any child locating the American penny wins a bag of Irish potato chips.
Join Honeysuckle Road at this authentic Irish pub where you always feel welcome and much cheer is to be had by all. Come in and cozy up to the fireside and enjoy a pint of stout. Try the traditional Irish Fare; they serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and daily specials, seven days a week. Sit outside on the sunny café open May through October, and take in the sights of this authentic ethnic corridor on Lawrence Avenue. You will find many stores, delis and bakeries representing many countries such as Serbia, Poland, Italy and Ireland; this is an undiscovered enclave in the City of Chicago. Come out, explore, and enjoy live music!
