Um diesen Erfolgsschub zu nutzen legt das Quintett nun seine erste vollständige Scheibe vor. Und genau jene hat es in sich und wird bei den KIT-Gängern einige Freudentränen hervor locken. Selten hört man den guten, altmodischen Underground-Metal so spritzig inszeniert wie bei diesen deutschen Jungs. Stücke wie das bangtaugliche 'Blood For Blood' oder das hymnische 'Nemesis (A Global Killer)' unterstreichen diese kühne Behauptung sofort. Genau genommen können hier alle Songs genannt werden, da sich wirklich keine schwache Sekunde auf diesen Albumhammer verirrt hat und jeder Song als Anspieltipp herhalten kann. “Shotgun Justice es una banda teutona procedente de Peine una pequeña villa de la baja sajonia, la banda se creo en el 2003. Han editado demos, eps, pero este es su primer larga duración, está clarísimo la orientación musical de la banda, escuchas apenas unos segundos y los ingleses Angel Witch se te vienen a la cabeza. Por lo tanto banda de tintes occult metal, nwobhm, similitudes con los Angel Witch, Satan.... clarísimas referencias. Arrancamos con " Blood for Blood", un corte al galope, que tiene todos los ingredientes de esas dos enormes bandas que cite, aires occult, ritmo al galope, clasicismo en la ejecución, quizás les falta un poco de gancho en el estribillo y un poco más de garra en la ejecución y un solo con más feeling, pero la idea me gusta. The band is fronted by vocalist Marco Kräft, who distinguishes himself with a wide array of vocal techniques that may require a certain type of appreciation, but nonetheless, are very impressive and powerful in a pretty unique manner. The album was released on January 8th by Kernkraftritter Records. The album title doesn’t reveal much about its content. They kick-off with a 1 minute intro called ‘’Proclamation of War’’, which is meant to bring you in the right mood, followed by ‘’Blood for Blood’’, a heavy anthem filled with gallops and old school licks and riffs. Shotgun Justice play a personable brand of Heavy Metal that incorporates elements of both Hard Rock and Thrash Metal into its upbeat delivery. Despite a logo and album cover that might lead you to believe that the band play some form of contemporary Metal, this is music that’s resolutely Old-School and couldn’t care less. The songs reflect this, as does the low-key production. Shotgun Justice have the feeling and attitude of the early-Metal era firmly nailed down, managing to reproduce the essence of the time quite faithfully. Although this can be slightly deceptive, as the Old-School swagger and production sometimes masks the more interesting and sophisticated elements of their sound, such as added female vocals and some nice moments of introspection, (such as The Scales of Justice), as well as some almost Progressive Metal influences, especially on the latter part of the album..."

"Totally unsettling. This album from German metallers Shotgun Justice is plain unsettling. It is like a jukebox of all your favourite bands, but being played by some mad scientists. I really don’t know whether this is pure genius or absolute lunacy, but it certainly grabs your attention! Formed in 2003, this band plays by its own rules and makes the listener take notice by the unexpected nature of the songs. The band is lead by vocalist Marco Kraft and his voice is amazing in its sheer versatility. He can crank it out old-school on tracks such as “Blood For Blood” and then croons/croaks like Tom G Warrior of Celtic Frost on “Forsaken“. The height of this mad experiment is “Nemes (A Global Killer)“, where the song is taken over by female opera singers. The song is definitely a work of genius and smacks of the same kind of adventure displayed by the aforementioned Celtic Frost on Into The Pandemonium, which is one of my favourite metal albums of all..."

“SHOTGUN JUSTICE – “Blood and Fire” by René "Urkus" on mag.13, 2014, Erongogebirge(Autoproduzione) Gli Shotgun Justice ci contattano per una recensione di questo loro ep di due pezzi: la band tedesca (per la precisione vengono dalla Bassa Sassonia, non lontano da Hannover) ha una carriera più che decennale alle spalle e attività live di tutto rispetto, fra le quali spicca un concerto di supporto a Blaze Bailey. “Blood for Blood” e “Blessed in Fire”, i due brani sul cd, attraversano con stile più di un genere del metallo classico: in alcune situazioni sembra di sentire i Primal Fear, in altre (certamente la maggioranza) si avverte un netto influsso thrash (direi da qualche parte fra Megadeth e Testament). La versatile prova del singer Bernhard Jagielki, che passa dal growl al pulito con grande disinvoltura, è il valore aggiunto di questo ep breve ma convincente. “The band Shotgun Justice comes to us out of Peine, Germany. Since their 2003 formation, two members remain as constants: Tobias Grosson drums and Erik Dembke on as guitarist. As with any band, reshuffling of members has brought Shotgun Justice 3 more members: Bernhard Jagielki on vocals, Marko Kraft on guitar (both as of 2007), and Heiko Wessel on bass (as of 2009). This line up has brought much success to the band in 2012, and allowed them to play many gigs, festivals, and T.V. Broadcasts via TV38 in 2013. The band had another bass line up change in 2013. "Grupo alemão formado em setembro de 2003, tendo como membros fundadores, Tobias Gross (bateria) e Erik Demke (guitarra), passou por algumas mudanças em sua line-up que atualmente conta com ex-integrantes do grupo RAW, Bernhard Jagielki (vocal), Bernd Schrader (baixo) e Marco Kraft (guitarra).
