Shelly Still is a singer songwriter from Berkshire. Many moons ago she lived with a band, they were forever moaning about the stresses of writing music so she thought 'I think I'll give it a go, see how hard it is...' and never looked back.

She has seen many disguises, of them LaFink still lives in some form, being devious around the cosmos, drinking spirits, bleaching her hair and swearing like a sailor. However the real Shelly Still has finally come through and has quite a collection of songs behind her.

'Finky's Secret Garden' was the first mini album release, consisting of stripped down songs that were begging to escape the confines of her computer. 6 tracks in all with just the aid of a guitar, vocals and a microphone. This was released as a free download by Fwonk Records and can still be found via her MySpace page (www.myspace.com/shellystill), Fwonk's website (http://www.fwonk.com/FW014) and her webpage (www.shellystill.co.uk). With having no real promotion the album grew legs and received many positive vibes and critique from people throughout the world.

Shelly is currently working on a concept EP to plug the gap between Finky's Secret Garden and the new, yet unnamed, album. The EP 'Snow' is more a development into the electronic music realm, using swooping harmonies and echoed beats, it will be a change from the acousticness of the previous release but will still hold the same vibe.

The next album will be another change, Shelly will be going back to her roots and, with the help of some musical friends and acquaintances, will create an album of classic songs, influenced by Tom Waits, QOTSA, Tori Amos, 60's garage rock and a host of other characters. This will be more of a band affair and will hopefully be toured around the date of the album release. It is a very exciting time at the moment, we hope you can wait a while...
