Shelly Fairchild & The People.  She's rock.  She's pop.  She's soul.  She's music for everyone.  Originally from Mississippi, Shelly moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where she landed at Sony Records.  In May of 2005, she recorded and released a critically-acclaimed debut album ("Ride") on Columbia Records.  She's performed on David Letterman, toured with John Fogerty, Rascal Flatts, Keith Urban and Tim McGraw to name only a few.  Shelly is currently writing and recording for her much-anticipated second album on Stroudavarious Records, which is scheduled for release in Spring of 2009.  Her new sound is a direct result of all of her musical influences - some of which include: Sly & the Family Stone, Lauryn Hill, Janice Joplin, Aerosmith and the great Tina Turner.  Shelly Fairchild & the People deliver a soul-infused, rock & roll, funk performance that electrifies crowds and leaves them wanting more.
