About
In late 2004 after 10 years of performing live shows and session work singer/songwriter Shane Young released his first solo CD...This Time. The first cut and title song, This Time, was optioned and used by Warner Bros. Television for use on the hit tv show "Felicity", many thanks to 5 Alarm Music in California.
Shane has been a marketable Canadian artist in music scene for the last decade performing original and cover material to audiences of up to 20,000 throughout Canada, the USA and Asia through live, radio, and television appearances. His powerful lyrics and presentation have kept him working full time establishing a solid local fan base in Edmonton, Alberta where he grew up and currently resides.
In the fall of 2000 Shane was recruited to play keyboards, rhythm guitar, and sing male lead vocals for “Rhythm Nation” an international R&B performing group to complete a six month contract performing at The China World Hotel & Trade Center in Beijing, China for dignitaries and business executives from around the globe.
Shane continues to write and perform live, pulling off a staggering 326 shows in 2003 alone.
Currently, Shane is the owner/operator of The Ivory Club in Edmonton, a duelling piano bar where he can been seen performing on weekends when not touring. A new 12 song album will be released in the fall of 2008.
