About
Making their mark on the local and national scene, Serpent Underground has been “slithering” in and out of the industry forefront since 2003. Reformed this year with lead guitarist Cody Walker and rhythm guitarist Jason Walker, the band has added a sinister and melodic edge to their already aggressive “in-your-face” sound.
Recently, Serpent Underground was interviewed by music journalist Jimmy Roc on “The Bloodstream” (http://www.thestream.tv/watch.php?v=273) and their episode is currently one of the most watched metal interviews on The Bloodstream. They have also been taken under the wing of international music celebrity and MySpace legend “Metal Sanaz” (HMTV, Projekt Revolution, etc...). “She is really true to what's great in metal, and we are honored to be working with her”, says bassist “The Bone”.
Set for early winter release, Serpent Underground's new CD “The Lie” will contain songs that only fans who have attended recent live shows have heard before. The CD will feature everything Serpent Underground fans have come to expect... Killer vocals, drum solos, heart-pounding bass and the addition of Jason and Cody's dual-layered harmony guitar work.
You can check them out live at the Whisky A Go-Go's “Local Metal Revival” with Old Fashioned Beat Down on Saturday, September 22nd. “Russ Rodriguez, drummer of O.F.B.D., has been a critical piece of the puzzle in our latest endeavors”, says rhythm guitarist Jason Walker. Serpent Underground will return to the Sunset Strip on Thursday, November 29th with Powerman 5000. Make sure to get your tickets early before these shows sell out!
As they work in their southern California studio, lead vocalist Ralph would like to tell everyone “Serpent Underground remains beyond driven to thrive in this cutthroat market, and to share with the world our passion for music that burns from within the darkest corners of our souls”.
