Bio
A soprano gospel/inspirational singer and songwriter, September Penn launched her first CD project in July 2009, an 11-song CD titled “Hope for You.”
Her unique vocal talents – which range from soulful urban sounds and “down-home” church choruses to ballads and classical arrangements – have carried her across America and as far as China. September co-wrote the words to 10 of 11 songs on her CD.
September performs as a regular member of Stanford University Professor Clayborne Carson’s PASSAGES OF MARTIN LUTHER KING.
In June 2007, she performed in the international premiere of PASSAGES in Beijing, China, with the National Theater Company of China.
September also has served as a worship leader.

I am a survivor -- a survivor of domestic violence. It happened before I met my husband. For years I sat on my story and denied that it even happened, but it did. Over the past 15 years, God has been healing me. This CD is apart of the healing process. Really, all of us are survivors of something, whatever issue of life that it may be. Please know that God has beauty for your ashes. He has plans of hope for you.
