MARKETING: Secret Army has culled much of their live material from their self titled debut album, which was released on September 1, 2006. The Secret Army album has thus far sold thousands of copies, not just in the United States, but also largely in Europe, Russia, Japan, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand and Australia. Secret Army is also currently performing material from Danny Bedrosian’s first album “Som’n Fierce, which has sold thousands of copies internationally in the aforementioned markets. The third album, the Sleaziest of the Greaze, has received much international attention as well, and has been recently incorporated into the band’s repetoire. The band rounds out their setlist with some P-Funk classics, as a large portion of the Secret Army rhythm section also comes from the bedrock of the current rhythm section of Parliament-Funkadelic’s touring band. The band also released in 2006 a explosive and now sold-out concert DVD, containing the band’s first ever live performance, as well as interviews, rare rehearsal footage, and Bedrosian’s premier music video, featuring NYC based comedy troupe Murder Fist. The newest Secret Army release has been the double-disc concept Masterpiece, entitled “The Sleaziest of the Greaze” which features 26 musicians from 26 different world class bands, on 26 tracks. The album has sold out in its short two month long span of availability, and more copies have recently been made to accommodate the increased demand for this milestone double album. The band just finished material a third album, entitled Muzzle Moosick, containing both instrumental funk/fusion workouts, and vocal based R&B/Funk material, with some interesting world music and bebop jazz spins.

SELLING POINTS: Among members of Secret Army, Bedrosian, Curry, McKnight, and Lewis all come from Parliament-Funkadelic, which is one of the chosen few bands to be placed among the upper echelons of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Bedrosian and Curry also have played with the 420 Funk Mob, Drugs, and Cacophonic FM. Bedrosian and Lewis are founding members of Children of Production, McKnight was the original guitarist for Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters, and was a onetime guitarist with Miles Davis and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He also was the Parliament-Funkadelic Music Director from 1980-2008. Curry was a founding member of Incorporated Thang Band, and Starr Cullars. All four men between them have worked 100 years in the music business, touring all over the world, and appearing on hundreds of internationally distributed albums. Curry and McKnight have been in the P-Funk camp for almost thirty years now.
