Secondhand Habit / Press

"Overall, Secondhand Habit are an unconventional band with an unconventional approach to making music. The songs on their album are reckless and full of teenage anger management anthems. If you're looking for a clean and wholesome band, go look someplace else. But if you're looking for songs to smoke weed to and get in trouble, this album is exactly what you want."

“It’s no surprise that Canada is quickly becoming a new breeding ground for up and coming indie bands, and this week’s featured band on uPlaya is living proof. Formed in the Spring of 2010, Secondhand Habit makes music that pulls from a medley of iconic alt-rock bands like Weezer, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and Rage Against the Machine. With the release of their debut EP “Badass” on February 14th, 2011, the band has their eyes set on jumping the border to bring their music to the U.S.!”

“Review on our EP Badass: "...The thing that makes this album truly shine is the lyrics. Sometimes they make me want to be a rebel and other times they make me want to cry. Sometimes they even manage that in the same song." Rated 9/10”
