Scott Risner— December 10, 7:00 pm Mandolinist/guitarist Scott Risner is a former member of J.D. Crowe and the New South, but that's just a small part of the story. Since Risner started playing music at age 10, mandolin has taken the Verona, KY native to Indianapolis, Nashville, and finally, back to Northern Kentucky. Once back home, Risner spent eight years with the Comet Bluegrass All Stars , during which the All Stars we won three CAMMY and three Cincinnati Entertainment Awards for best bluegrass band in the Cincinnati area. Iver the year, he has performed at Bluegrass Festivals in Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, and Pennsylvania. Risner is currently playing around town filling in for missing musicians with The Comet Bluegrass All-Stars, The Tammy Whynots, Tex Schramm & the Radio King Cowboys, Browngrass & Wildflowers, The Northern Kentucky Bluegrass Band and still does an occasional gig with Earl's Gone Wild. http://www.reverbnation.com/scottrisneratestrings
