The 4th annual Agent Orange Awareness Run and is in memory of SSgt John A. Thorburn, a highly decorated Vietnam War Veteran (who passed on 1/7/2010) Run and rally to start at the Boots on the Ground NY - Veteran Activity Center in Ronkonkoma, 2184 Pond Road, Ronkonkoma There will be a scenic 80 mile ride, which will go through Calverton National Cemetery. The ride will end at the Northport VA Hospital where there will be live music (SCHROEDER'S GHOST!!) and a BBQ. The Senior Veterans who reside at building 92 will also be joining us for lunch. As always, at all of our events, we will be collecting items for hospitalized Veterans at the sign up.(t-shirts, underwear, socks, sweat suits, toiletries & phone cards). Monies raised at this event go towards helping us bring well needed supplies to the VA year-round, and to also cover the cost of the BBQ at the runs end. The residents of building 92 look forward every Fathers Day weekend to this visit, the company, the bikes, the BBQ and their annual free t-shirt. Anyone wishing to sponsor the event t-shirt please message me. Run registration at 10:00 AM, KSU at 11:00, enter VA between 12:30/1300 hrs.
