Bio: Scare Tactics are a Liverpool based band bringing back a slice of old school metal with a whole new approach. Formed in 2010, they've played many prestigious venues around the UK, including Bloodstock festival in 2012, and are currently working on their new album!

“Unfortunately for our local boys, Scare Tactics had the opening slot for the night. They had played the week previously in Semi Final 2, and had the closing spot in that particular gig. Everything seemed to go very well, with the sound being pretty much perfect for them. I believe they had decided to go with the setlist from their heat performance and given the importance of this gig, I really can't blame them for going with a more tried and tested set. The crowd reaction was very good, with much cheering every time the band finished a song, which was very good to see. I'll finish this off before I end up waffling too much! The actual performance was almost what I expected from the Scare Tactics crew, though I feel they kicked it up a notch for the final. Absolute pleasure to see them perform, as always, and they certainly raised the bar for the rest of the bands to follow.”

Whiplash Promotions are proud to bring you Metal 2 the Masses - Liverpool events exclusively at The Lomax in Liverpool! To Enter: Simply send me an email at bloodstock@whiplash4metal.com to express your interest and I will send you an entry form. There will be 6 heats with 2 semi finals and the grand final held in The Lomax on the 29/6/12 so you need to be available for the final. There are no restrictions on whether you are from Liverpool but you need to be able to bring enough people to support you in your heat as votes from the crowd will have a big bearing on whether you win your heat!!! This is not restricted to only extreme metal bands either.... all genres will be accepted SPEED - THRASH - DEATH - DOOM - FOLK - BATTLE - GOTHIC - GROOVE – METALCORE -NEO CLASSICAL - INDUSTRIAL - NU - POST - POWER - PROGRESSIVE - SLUDGE - STONER - ALTERNATIVE - EXTREME - SYMPHONIC - VIKING - OR OTHER The heats will be judged by an unbiased panel of 3 judges however 40% of the points awarded will come from the audience of your mates, family etc so be prepared to give your all for these shows!!!
