'SAVING THE SCARECROW' creates the rest of the music. They are anonymous, work pro bono and are trying to help SCARECROW and his family pay for medical bills and other family needs as they cope with his degenerative brain disease.

We also want to inspire other artists with disabilities to continue to pursue their dreams even under very difficult circumstances.

The websites , both on Reverbnation and MySpace are maintained with the assistance of "Dorothy" aka Selma, a friend and supporter of the Scarecrow.

About three years ago, I was diagnosed with moderate dementia.  You read that right - a relatively young man with dementia.  (It's basically the same as Alzheimer's, just caused by a different disease.)  New miracle drugs have helped me dramatically, but unless a cure is found, my future is somewhat cloudy.  However, I am a positive person, and I live every day looking for happiness, personal growth and passion.

For over a decade I couldn't play the piano or sing.  I was way too confused to even play chords on the piano, much less compose songs.  But something magical and completely unexpected happened in mid-Januaray of 2008.  Out of nowhere my head became filled with music.  I was so overwhelmed by all the different music in my head I didn't know what to do.  So I sat down at the piano and songs just started pouring out of me.

The result: From the many songs I wrote in 2008, SAVING THE SCARECROW plans to release a new debut EP on our new label, HumanInhuman Records, sometime in the coming months.
