Bio
Craig:
A Christian, husband, and father of two. I am 38 years old. I have been making music since I was 8. I like a lot of different styles and am inspired by all of them. I play a lot of instruments; anything I can get my hands on. I have had notable musical success such as singing for Cardinal Theodore McCarrick and opening for international bands King's X, Symphony X, Helloween, and Devin Townsend with Odin's Court. I am a computer professional and spend my free time geeking out.
Steve:
I too am a 38 year old Christian, husband, and father of one wonderful girl. I have been making music off and on for a long time. I got out of it for awhile during my 10 years in the United States Navy. After I left active duty, I started playing drums for a basement band with one of my old hockey goalies. One thing lead to another and here I am. As Craig tells me”You’re a pretty good bass player for a drummer.”
About
Steve:
I would like to start out thanking God, My wife and daughter, Craig, his family and Dave for this project. I think this has been a long time coming for both Craig and I, and it’s nice to see it coming to fruition.
I have always wanted to do a concept disk that merges inspirational styles and the influence of God. I always saw it like Steven Curtis Chapman meets Queensrÿche! Anyway, follow the story of a man’s struggle with his faith. The night he felt the world had beat him, and his rebirth.
Craig:
I, in turn, thank God, my wife and boys, and Steve for this great opportunity. Steve has been on me about doing something like this for a long time.
I've been a fan of the progressive rock genre for quite some time. There aren't many that truly explore spirituality. Shadow Gallery is the only "mainstream" one that fits the bill that I know of. Even so, a great many prog rock bands get caught up in sheer virtuosity and tend to ignore songwriting and a broader listener impact. Hopefully, our project will serve to bridge that gap.
