Holy Toledo Productions, Audiovisions Entertainment, Projekt Lotus, and RBC Records ... In association with Knight Booking and Luis Skye ... Present ... CAPPADONNA (of the legendary WU-TANG CLAN) with sympL (of Projekt Lotus) also featuring Savage Souls, Shang Kong, and DAMN SKIPPY with a special live debut of Bad Mojo. Hosted By: Luis Skye House Music By: DJ Lex (of the Cut Fresh Crew) Doors Open at 8:00, Admission: $10 Featuring Drink Specials AND Refuelers Mobile Cafe CAPPADONNA (of the legendary WU-TANG CLAN) Cappadonna (also known as "Cappachino”(A Wu-Gambino name) and “Donna Cappa Goines") was a member of the early stages of what was to become the Wu-Tang Clan, with RZA, Ol' Dirty Bastard, and Raekwon. However, Cappadonna went to prison and was replaced by Method Man. Cappadonna made his recording debut as an affiliate of the Wu-Tang Clan on Raekwon's hit single "Ice Cream". He was also a guest star, along with Raekwon, on Ghostface Killah's solo debut album, Ironman. He made his first appearance on a Wu-Tang Clan album in 1997 on Wu-Tang Forever on the single "Triumph". Following his appearance on Forever, he contributed significantly to the group's third studio album, The W, at which point his appearances were no longer marked with "Feat. Cappadonna", as they had been on Forever. After a falling out with RZA the next year over royalties, he did not appear at all on the group's subsequent album Iron Flag. He eventually reunited with the group for their concert at 2004's Rock the Bells, and appeared on 2007's 8 Diagrams. Cappadonna's status as a Wu-Tang member or as a featured artist has varied throughout the years. While long referred to by both the group and fans as the "Unofficial Tenth Member", there is no confirmation on whether he actually became the official tenth member following the death of Ol' Dirty Bastard. While MTV.com's biographies of both him and the group claim that he is an official member, their subsequent bios on the group's official website do not list him as such. Also, while his vocals on 8 Diagrams were not marked with "Feat. Cappadonna", much like The W, he does not appear on the front cover with the original eight living members, and is not featured in the album's booklet with a picture, although he is included in the group's shout-out's sections. A 2007 interview about the Clan before the release of 8 Diagrams also claims that RZA officially added him as a member, but there are no quotations or statements to back up this claim within the article. Cappadonna's first solo effort was 1998's The Pillage which debuted at #3 on the charts and certified Gold. His follow-up - 2001's “The Ying and The Yang” - met with similar critical and commercial success. Staying vigilant in his support of The Clan, he then featured on over 25 releases including classics from Raekwon, Method Man and Ghostface. Known for his colorful wardrobe, he frequently refers to fashion designers and his large collection of boutique clothing in his raps. ON TOUR W/ sympL (of Projekt Lotus) Through the years, sympL has explored musical genres ranging from punk rock to folk - reggae to improvisational funk, hip hop, drum-n-bass, and spoken word. No matter the style, sympL has brought his mastery of language and the undeniable passion of a restless poet to the stage, studio, and street corner for over 15 years. An underground media mogul, he has been a tireless promoter, published author, and celebrated performer - working with some of the most acclaimed acts in hip hop - such as Del the Funky Homosapien, Das EFX, The Beatnuts, The Artifacts, Souls of Mischief, Nappy Roots, Cypress Hill, The Jungle Brothers, Jurassic 5's Chali 2na and Akil the MC and many more. Running alongside this tour, sympL is releasing several new projects - a new EP with his group - Projekt Lotus, a collaboration with several EDM/dubstep/drum-n-bass producers, the first Universal Boogie Album with Bukue One and And.On.I.Must, and a solo EP on Lovelorn Records.
