“Satellite District, the second band to take the stage, was aptly named. The band plays alternative indie rock with heavily delayed and effected guitar, danceable drum beats, and emotional singing. Yul Gomez’s bright and synth-like guitar solo’s and riffs colored the songs letting your mind take flight. The drums hard hitting techno beats and the bass’s upbeat runs made you want to dance during their performance. Much of the crowd did just that as Satellite District’s music took hold. The band also brought with them an intense light show. The drums were draped in red light rope and the stage had various red and blue four ft. tall column lights randomly placed around the stage and on top of amps. A strobe light and a fog machine rounded out the ensemble. This combined with the house lights being turned off gave you a rave-like experience. I enjoyed Satellite District’s set and how much time and effort they put into not only their music but their live show.”
