Sara Tiemogo is a classically trained voice and piano graduate from WCU. Her original pop music has been described as "emotional, fun, and radio-ready". Occasionally influences from her studies of classical composers such as Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart and Grieg find their way into her songs, but the resulting overall sound is one of easy listening rather than requiring music theory knowledge to enjoy. While her subject matters can span a wide array of topics such as love, motherhood, personal victory and failure, and playful teasing, (as in the song "I'm Right and You're Wrong") there is a cohesiveness of emotional sharing. Regardless of the emotion behind the song, it is written and sung in such a way to draw in the listener. Many of the experiences sung about are shared by a large audience and are easy to relate across boundaries of age or gender. Whether you laugh, cry, smile, or tap your toe to the ridiculous beats from her Yamaha keyboard, her ambition is to make you feel something. Since 2010, Sara Tiemogo has been performing as a musician online in the virtual world of Second Life under the avatar name of SaraMarie Philly. Virtual venues hire her to perform and bring her audience, where they can talk to one another and also send private messages to Sara to request songs or share thoughts. She streams her shows via an online radio address and her listeners send her tips. Through this method of streaming music as she performs it live, she has been able to spend more time at home with her daughter, who is now 4, while still following her passion for sharing music. During the past year, all of Sara's income from her Second Life performing has been saved in her daughter's college account, which has reached over 10 thousand dollars. She is extremely thankful to her fans and listeners who have supported her and grateful for every penny and the opportunity to share her songs. You can listen to her music and get free downloads on her website at www.SaraTiemogo.com You can also find her on YouTube, Soundcloud, ArtistSignal, Amazon, iTunes, and more. • Saturday, May 9, 2015 - 8pm • Sara Tiemogo (Singer/Songwriter of Alternative Pop) • The White Pines Place (As Part of the Elkins Park Singer Songwriter Series) • $15 • Tickets here: http://www.whitepinesproductions.org/the-elkins-park-singer-songwri/ Or at the door. • All Ages
