Scottish songwriter, photographer and poet Sarah DeShields recorded her first solo EP "sacrifices" in 2003, a collection of rock and folk songs written during her university years. She then went on to make another EP when she moved to the states in 2005 that was mainly distributed at shows, called "Small Stories". She took a break for a year whilst preparing for the birth of her first child, and is back now working on a new folk album: "I'm really excited about getting back to my roots. Its going to be very folky, very nostalgic, and uplifting. I hope this album will remind people of home, wherever that may be" Sarah is also a key member of an upcoming songwriter project called "Broadcast Safe". Sarah also leads worship at Renovatus church in charlotte. "Renovatus sums up life for me - true community centered around the love of God. Whatever I do artistically is an act of worship to a God who is worthy of it all and more. He gave me everything I have"
