Winchester/Southampton based, SAQQARA formed in 2005 by core members Jamie and Kev, various line-up changes later, 2008 saw a permanent line created with the inclusion of bassist Sebastian Nowak and lead guitarist Andrew Berry.
Saqqara have shared stages with ‘Gallows’ ‘The Arusha Accord’ ‘Sinocence’ and ‘Blaze Bayley’.
2009 saw the band become nominees for ‘Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Song 2009’ for ‘Unholy Communion’ and ‘Best Live Artist 2009’ at the Exposure Music Awards.
