Sanveen is an original music quartet from Worcester, Massachusetts. It's members are Steve Gaffney (Vocals), Mark Guerard (Bass), Neil Stivers (Guitars) and Doug Wedge (Drums). The band was formed in 2003 and rose from the city's earlier successful outfits such as Woodgrain Theory and The Missionarys. “Sanveen's eerie, disconnected sound can be a little disconcerting. The looseness stands out, especially in the face of Steven Gaffney's full, dextrous vocals. This is some seriously lovely songmaking going on here, but there's also a strange layer of anxiety that seems to permeate the music, giving songs that might otherwise be merely nice a fairly intense energy.
