Sam Gyllenhaal / Press

“Greensboro, NC -- Local musician Sam Gyllenhaal brought a little mix of rock and blues Live From Studio 2 Friday. Sam is a senior at Elon University. He was raised on Bluegrass, Folk tunes and occasionally Gospel music. Listen to his performance's from today as he rocked it out on his guitar and sang lead vocals, while Elon University freshman Mills Gorrie backed him up on the Mandolin. You can listen to more of Sam's music here. Or check out his Facebook page here. You can also find his EP "No Longer Lost" on iTunes.”

"The cool thing about Black and Blue is they are one of the two bands that was at my first WSOE show of the spring semester on Feb. 12 and they rocked the house," Valero said. "(WSOE) staff really enjoyed them. And Chris Kilgore, the president of Rip_Chord, is the lead guitarist."

“The group sees themselves as more of a family and junior Sam Gyllenhaal said they make sure their fun-loving attitude translates to the stage. "Whether they're sitting down in a concert hall or standing up at a bar, we always want the audience to see how much fun a cappella can be," Gyllenhaal said.”
