The Band Sacred Legacy was formed in the early 2006 with the members Shahyd as the key person of the band, Fathy on guitars, Azyn on drums, Afu on bass and Bloody on the vocals. Shahyd performed in a band called “Syn” in the early 2005 before he started his own career. After quitting the band Syn, he started experimenting with many genres of music and got inspired by Thrash, Melodic and Progressive Metal. He also got inspiration from Japanese Manga soundtracks [he likes anime cartoons!]. One main reason Shahyd plays music is because of his daughter, Mishka who also inspires him to keep on going.

In 2006, Shahyd started his own solo career. He then started working on his own album (The Sacred Legacy). He wanted to bring a change to the Maldivian Music Scene by his music. So he released his first album on 23rd September 2006 which was “Sacred Legacy” with the line up; Shahyd-Lead Guitars, Fathy- Rhythm Guitars, Dhai (from Tormenta)- Drums, Jessy (from Locura)- Bass and Shamoon- Vocals. He launched the album with a successful show featuring Tormenta and Serenity Dies. Thus was the band's first performance.

To work on his second album, Shahyd brought changes to his line-up before. Jessy, Fathy and Dhai were replaced by Riley (bass), Mabee (guitars) and Mukey (drums). But due to some problems he had to change the line-up again. The current Sacred Legacy is; Saipe on guitars, Mukey on drums, Jessy on bass guitars and Bloody on Vocals.

The band has released their second album, Apocalypse on 5th July 2007 in the Domination Fest '07. Some pics of the Domination Fest are available to everyone in the Pics. Sacred Legacy is also particiapting in the Rockstorm : Freak your senses auditions. And will be performing on 3rd August along with many other bands. Be there with a wild crowd to freak your senses along with Sacred Legacy!
