A native of Wilmington, NC, Russ James has been writing songs and performing for over 30 years. Now living in the Raleigh, NC area, he continues to write songs, perform in local venues and pursue that elusive publishing deal in Nashville. In the summer of 2007, he recorded "Carolina Backroads", a CD of 12 original songs on his own independent label Shaky Legz Music.
