Bio
Russell Scarbrough's music has been performed by professional and university jazz ensembles, pops orchestras, and military ensembles across the United States and in Asia. He received a degree in Jazz Composition from Towson State University where he studied composition & arranging with Hank Levy. He also attended the Eastman School, studying with Bill Dobbins, and receiving his Master's and Doctoral degrees. While at Eastman, he was awarded the Raymond and Maxine Schirmer Prize in Jazz Composition. In 2003, Scarbrough formed a new 18-piece big band, and in 2005, Scarbrough was appointed the director of the Roberts Wesleyan College Jazz Ensemble.
