About
Formerly known as "Then Again"
Formed in early 2006 and influenced by bands such as Weezer, Nirvana and the Killers, Then Again is a distinctive mix of power-pop and alternative rock. Lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Mike Hettesheimer, is joined by long-time friends Philip Gonzales on lead guitar, and Brian Joseph Miguel on drums. Rounding out the group's sound is Chester Del Mundo on bass, who joined the group in late 2006.
Much of year one was spent rehearsing, and writing songs, while 2007 saw the band spending time in the studio, and playing a number of memorable shows including the PoptimesMagazine.com 1 Year Anniversary. In Early 2008 the band released their debut EP Inappropriate Songs, for Awkward Situations, which features crowd favorites Grammar School Blues and Little Star. In addition to their EP, Then Again was also a part of two compilation albums produced by Soulworks Records: Rocky Yuletide 2, and the soon to be released Rock in the Box 2, which includes their song Density.
Then Again continues to write new music, and play in front of enthusiastic crowds in and around NYC. In addition, work has already begun on their first full-length album, which will be recorded and released in early 2009.
