Q: How long have you been developing your guitar style? You're doing a fine job! Like your funky style it's a fresh sound. So cool!
A: I learned guitar when I was sixteen on contemporary music:"Time in a bottle", "dust in the wind" etc. I got serious 3 yrs ago with the blues! I practice 4hrs a day minimum, sometimes 6-8hrs. I dont use a pick in order to be a leg up on the competition. Many guitarist learn to play by coping their favorite artists; I did not take that approach .I studied books in the library on Blues guitar fundamentals then expanded from there.I believe thats where the original sound comes from. I CANT READ MUSIC too well but I read Tablature. Everything else is done by ear. Also the HipHop beats i use helps drive the music in specific directions. Thankz for asking!
