Getting back like Beck

I disappeared into the sand dunes of Rajasthan. Karthik fell in with a big band from Germany, touring 7 cities. Madhuri decided to see the US of A, coast to coast and met Blues icon Buddy Guy, sojourn at Central Park. Highlights of her visit - staying with the sweetest of friends and family, taught a module on the relevance of Gandhi in the world today, also talked about Kafka and existentialism from an Indian perspective, sang Vaishnava Janotho to end the lec-dem at Univ of Connecticut thanks to Dr. Rebecca Mathews. Heard some phenomenal avant garde and classic jazz in Chicago ( Thanks to Nicky Furtado) and other live acts; thanks to Debbie - sang "One Day at A Time..." at a sorority of some supremely kind women in Atlanta. Madhuri's school friends are all successful doctors (Devika, Geeta and Reshma) - she missed the boat! It's been a hiatus of sorts and the space has actually been good for us and now we're getting back to our roots.
