We hope this note finds you nice and irie and ready for some new music!! Last November we, the good people of IRIE-ZONA, finally voted to allow MEDICAL MARIJUANA to be prescribed to seriously ill patients. The vote talley was so close for Prop. 203 that most news channels reported the proposition did not pass, it wasn't until EVERY vote was counted (about a week later!) that a compassionate victory was celebrated! Now, granted, this law here in AZ isn't nearly as liberal or inclusive as California or Colorado's, but it is a step in the right direction for Arizona - which is extremely significant in this state of continual bassackwardness.

So, long story short, we wrote a little song about it...

Before we get to this weekend's shennanigans, we'd like to thank ALEC for slappin' da bass with us at the "Last Chance for Love Dance" -- it was a rockin' good time -- and the love was in the air!!

This weekend, SATURDAY to be specific, is a grand celebration of what has now become a community pillar - THE GREEN ROOM (15 N. Agassiz St.) is turning 3 years old! And, as they like to do on their birthday, it's time to forget about shoveling snow and dig thru yer closet for the flip flops and bathing suits ya haven't seen since last summer... it's the 3rd Annual BIRTHDAY BEACH BASH!!! We're talking bar filled with sand, volleyball in said sand, umbrellas fer yer drinks, and some hot tubs!! yep, water! oh, AND several of Flag's favorite bands!! V-Ball signup is at 2pm, tourney @ 3pm, music on the front stage starts at 4 with ISROBEL, then 2BUKU will show ya wassup, at 8PM SUMMIT DUB SQUAD is gonna ignite the back stage, warming tings up for LOWCASH and BROTHERS GOW!!
