Album news etc.

It's been a busy month trying to get everything tied together and finished off for the album release....it's coming together though now at last! We've been spending some time in the studio this month going through the final mixes with Gavin and are happy that it's all starting to sound as gigantic as we hoped!

We're hoping now for an October release date for the album, entitled 'Deletia'. In the meantime though we've started adding some early track previews to our Facebook fan page....so head on over there and have a listen, see what you think! (we'll be adding more as we get nearer to the release so you can see how it's shaping up):

http://www.facebook.com/pages/Shortwave-Fade/5983468500

We're also going to be giving away an exclusive free track at www.slicethepie.com this Friday for one week only - it's so exclusive in fact, that we haven't yet decided which song it'll be .....we guarantee it'll be worth the wait though so don't miss out!!

Thanks to everyone who supported us with your votes in the Summer Sundae contest...we didn't win unfortunately, but what the hell! We'll have plenty more liveshows coming up so you'll have many opportunities to catch us live in a venue near you soon! The first of which at Storm in Leicester Square where we'll be headlining this Friday night for all you London people....hope to see you there!! XXX

Exciting news: We made it into the showcase on Slicethepie.com!!

For those of you who've never heard of it, slicethepie.com is a site where get their songs reviewed users of the site get paid to review the songs of various bands/artists. Those with the highest overall rating get to compete in a showcase and the winners (decided in a vote) are then eligible for financing (of up to £15,000) to produce an album.

We were among 14 highest rated acts out of 1000 in the indie/rock arena on slicethepie and have now been entered into the indie/rock showcase. This means that we have a real chance of winning the money - with your support. The bands that have been successful in previous showcases have done so by getting friends and fans to register and vote for them. Joining slicethepie and voting in the showcase is free. It only takes a minute to register here:
https://www.slicethepie.com/Signup.aspx

Once you have registered you can actually start earning money (and yes they really do pay out) by reviewing the various acts in the arena stages. You can view the indie/rock showcase, check out the various acts, and vote for us here:
http://www.slicethepie.com/Showcase/ShowCaseDetail.aspx?SCN=117

Please help us by taking a minute (literally) to cast your vote, and by helping us to spread the word as much as possible - you could be helping us on our way to recording our first album! We'll really appreciate you support!!

Thanks xxx
