It’s 2008, people.

Hi there!

I just wanted to thank everyone who came out to see us last week at Schubas and The Varsity...I wouldn't mind if every weekend were that much fun. Schubas had pine baums and Christmas lights up outside and around the live room for the ole holiday season...it looked like Germany Town at Epcot Center: festive! And despite the cold and the snow, the crowd was rockin' it. We had an absolute blast playing that night, and definitely felt the love back from those in attendance. And much thanks to Camera and White Light Riot for warming the place up for us!

Speaking of White Light Riot, those very same fine fellows were kind enough to invite us up to Minneapolis to play The Varsity the next night, and Wisconsin roadways and blizzards be damned (we counted at least 40 overturned cars, trucks and tractor-trailers littering the embankments of 90/94), we got there! Holy crap. The Varsity is one of the COOLEST venues I've ever been in. For starters, every inch of the place is covered in carpeting. CARPETING! How do they keep it clean? I mean, Doug took his freakin' shoes off when we walked in...CARPETING! Plus we got treated like Rock VIP's (there was actually a velvet rope(!))and I personally got crunk (as the kids say) on some $10 wine. On the Rolling-Stones-o-meter scale of rock debauchery, I scored a Brian Jones.5. Not bad!

WLR, needless to say, rocked the place, and the Minneap crowd?...let's just say we can't wait to get back up north.

Oh yeah...HAPPY DICK CLARK'S ROCKIN' NEW YEAR!
