I slid some tracks to a good friend of mine from Cleveland, Ohio this week. Some years back, G.O.R.K and I worked on a couple of songs together, with our dude The Deacon AE, for an album named Combination Unsolved. It was released on The Deacon's GrandLie label, and I've kept G.O.R.K in mind for future projects since then.

Guyanese singer / songwriter / producer Ngina Fayola and I have been talking on and off for about a year about collaborating. You know how life goes, though. Busy schedules often mean music gets pushed to the backburner. She's a very promising, very determined artist though, and a song she wroth called "Numbers" really grabbed my attention recently. So, I asked her to shoot me the acapella and now I'm remixing that song for her.

I have the backbone of it recorded right now. The basic groove and mood is set. This is a good song and I really want to do it justice so I may go through many, many drum sounds and FX before I can call this work finished.

Update. The release date for Decibel Meters has been pushed back until my camera shy ass gets some pictures taken for the album art. My label head Cindy Leacock is no joke. She's a sweetheart but she's about her business and that's why I have mad love for her. So this weekend I'll be around Phoenix doing a photo shoot with Mr. Angelo Solegna. Trying to figure out what the hell am I gonna wear. Plus I have to do something with my hair, man. My stuff is mad grey right now. Everything'll work out though. Will post the pics after the shoot.
